Karen Tringle, Dr.
You've been trying to keep things together by yourself for a long time, because that's what you do. You pride yourself on being self-sufficient, and able to figure things out on your own. But for some reason, certain issues and patterns keep coming back up. Ignoring it hasn't helped, and the efforts you've made to try and work things out on your own have left you with less than desirable results. You've toyed with the idea of therapy for awhile, but just never took the plunge. Or maybe the last therapist you went to just didn't seem to "get it." Now it's starting to bleed over into other areas of your life. Your work and relationships are being impacted. That feeling in the pit of your stomach just won't go away. It's time to do something--it's time to reclaim your life.
Therapy is a place where we work together to do just that. We will meet together to identify those "stuck places" that keep you from moving forward and come up with a plan of action. Typically our first few sessions are spent better understanding how your history has shaped who you are now and what types of things are creating the current bottleneck in your life. Then we will work to build a better infrastructure that sets you up for success, so you can get out of the traffic jam and start cruising ahead towards your future.
